“If I create from the heart, nearly everything works; if from the head, almost nothing.

― Marc Chagall

We started “An Online Art Supplier” (and by we, I mean ‘I’) with only one thought in my mind, beat the beasts out there, draining the artists dry. Making it impossible for them to paint freely as they desire. I jumped. I never did the market analysis. Likewise, I didn’t hire any some fancy bankers to make projections or pollute me with their cost benefit analysis because that wasn’t just the goal, the idea behind the creation of An Online Art Supplier.

An Online Art Supplier evolved as a blog, opinion based place where art has the priority, not the materialization. I had two choices, sincerely, people advised me to go with the conventional looking ecommerce shopfront as my front page, but the idea didn’t appeal me. So, I decided to go with this, neat, and unconventional outlook of An Online Art Supplier, where scholarship of ideas and art are more important than making profits. I hope you all will appreciate that.

Artist’s Bogeyman

If you are an artist, then you have your own version of bogeyman and in your case, it can be yours usual go-to art-supply-store. I know this, because not only I have a bogeyman, but a long list of bogeymen in my life.

They kept haunting me, taunting me, robbing me or even embarrassing me, whenever I dared to ask the price of any innocent, modest looking art supply, or I asked them to describe any art supply, they shut me down. The blood thirsty beast of the bogeymen came raging to lure me into buying a couple of art products (pack of brush, a couple of acrylic tubes, a small sized and poorly primed canvas) with mind-boggling and soul sizzling prices. The result, most of the time, I regretted asking the same questions over and over again and yet expecting different answer; a pure and comprehensive definition of insanity. But before I plunged myself into the pit of that darkness, I decided

Now, can you blame me not conducting enough research, not doing the market analysis before investing all my saving into an online art store? Blame, if you like but, it is here to save the art, not a huge, nothing fancy but a humble yet mindful effort to provide artists with the best possible art supplies of their need.

Community Philosophy

I started it alone but the artist community, especially the young artists, the emerging talented artists, appreciated the idea. They encouraged the initiative of ‘Art for everyone’ which has later become the company philosophy (though, it’s something else but a company)

"In nutshell, I invite all the artists and the creators to come and be the part of our ever-growing artist community and share your wonderful ideas, find your inspiration, seek the answers to the questions you are looking for, and looking for so long."

Space for the Creators

An Online Art Supplier is all about art, design, and innovation. The aims and the objectives of this institution goes way beyond only exist as an art shop. The art shop is there just to facilitate the emerging artists, to provide them with the art supplies to get their art going on affordable rates. The entire idea of “An Online Art Supplier” is to create a space for the artists, designers, innovators, and the real creators and thinkers to come to this platform to interact with the other artists. I know the idea is still in its infancy but imagine a virtual space, the virtual reality for the artists and the creators to come and interact and showcase whatever they are working on.

In nutshell, I invite all the artists and the creators to come and be the part of our ever-growing artist community. Share your wonderful ideas, find your inspiration, seek the answers to the questions you are looking for, and looking for so long.
